Two-time Grammy Award-winning bassist of The Allman Brothers and Dead & Company, Oteil Burbridge, has announced he has launched a music education application that is the first of its kind. The application, Join the Ozone, teaches music theory and philosophy and includes personal pre-recorded courses and monthly live calls with Burbridge.

The pre-recorded courses include six levels of Harmoney training, rhythm and philosophy training, never before heard stories, Q&A sessions, tricks and tips for being on the road, improvisation, and so much more.

Join the Ozone offers a personal learning experience directly from someone who has reached the highest levels of musical achievement without reading music. Burbridge aims to teach people how to play in a unique way that wasn’t possible before the creation of the application.

“Music is part math, part technique, and part emotion,” explained Burbridge in a press release. “The question is why and how is that possible? How does math and physics become infused with intention and emotion?”
