A thought-to-be lost album by The Meters’ guitarist Leo Nocentelli has been unearthed. The album titled Another Side is largely acoustic and features an all-star line-up of New Orleans’ best including James Black, Allen Toussaint, and both George Porter Jr. and Zigaboo Modeliste of The Meters.

What makes Another Side even more remarkable, regardless of the fact that it very well could’ve become a classic record in the singer-songwriter’s wheelhouse during the ’70s, is that it survived the calamitous devastation of Hurricane Katrina only to be found 2,000 miles away at a swap meet in Southern California in 2018 by record collector Mike Nishita.

Another Side will be released digitally and physically on Nov. 19, pre-order the record here.
