Tame Impala announced that they’ll be switching venues for their performance in Austin to ensure that their performance will uphold the utmost precautions in regard to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The show was originally set to take place at the Frank Erwin Center on Nov. 7, but due to the fact that the building is government-owned, the venue did not allow Tame Impala to require proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test for entry. The event will now take place on the same date at the Germania Insurance Amphitheatre.

Kevin Parker wrote on social media that they were told production may be slightly scaled back but “the vibe will remain extremely strong regardless.”

Old tickets have been refunded at the point of purchase. New tickets will have to be bought for the new location.
