Tom Hamilton and Holly Bowling – who already share the stage in the band Ghost Light – have launched yet another musical project, a duo named Lacuna.
The band will release their debut, self-titled album on Nov. 19, and they’ve even prepped six shows in support of the LP.
The band’s name, according to Bowling, came from a book she read during the pandemic. Lacuna is defined as “a gap, an unfilled space, or an intentional, extended passage in a musical work during which no notes are played.”
Bowling adds, “I’ve felt more and more comfortable in those in-between spaces. That’s really where I’ve been wanting to spend my time, and with Lacuna, that’s the entire thing.”
