Lauded indie singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers has made good on an unusual promise to fans, after tweeting on Nov. 3, “if trump loses, I will cover iris by the goo goo dolls.”
Singer Maggie Rogers quickly jumped on the bandwagon, adding “u need some harmonies for that special tune?” (Deadheads may recognize Rogers for her 2019 sit-in with Dead & Company during their NYC Halloween run.)
The duo also noted that funds raised from the cover track will go to Fair Fight, a Georgia-based organization which “promotes fair elections in Georgia and around the country, encourages voter participation in elections, and educates voters about elections and their voting rights.”
