Drive-By Truckers and Jason Isbell have announced that their 2014 show at the Shoals Theatre in Florence, Ala. is now available for purchase on Bandcamp.
The June 15, 2014 show saw former DBT member Jason Isbell reunited with his erstwhile bandmates. At the time, the three announced that the show would be to benefit Terry Pace.
A 2014 Patterson Hood press release noted Pace’s importance to the area’s music scene: “For the past 30 years Pace has been a central figure in local music and theatrical circles. He is an actor, director, producer, lecturer and music historian who has been active in supporting and writing about the Muscle Shoals music scene.”
Earlier that year, Pace had suffered two serious strokes. The press release provided more information: “Pace suffered two debilitating strokes in March which required several weeks of hospitalization in Birmingham. He was recently released from the hospital and is recovering at his home in Sheffield. Rehabilitation will be a long, expensive process and the medical costs continue to mount.”
“In 2014, Mike Cooley, @pattersonhood, and @JasonIsbell reunited for a show at the historic Shoals Theatre in Florence, AL to benefit Terry Pace,” read a post on Drive-By Truckers’ Twitter account. “We are thrilled to announce that this show is now available to download on Bandcamp.”

June 4, 2021 at 3:37 pmI always wished I had seen the Dirt Underneath Tour. Assume this was what it was like plus Isbell. Would love to see them tour acoustically to support this album. Have watched all the Youtube videos.

November 7, 2020 at 6:03 amWho cares? The only one with talent is Isbell and his posturing of late is disgusting. My guess wears the pants in that household, and that’s a shame.

November 7, 2020 at 1:04 pmCome on man keep your negative shit to yourself! We fans care and have been waiting for years for an official release of this benefit show! The Isbell years of DBT were amazing and he lit a fire in the band’s creativity or maybe he just showed up at the right time and when he left the band shifted as they have so many times before!
