After putting on numerous livestreams (and even a few live gigs) through the COVID-19 pandemic, legendary guitarist Jorma Kaukonen has been given an official commendation by the Senate and General Assembly of New Jersey.
As per an official certificate – bestowed on Sept. 21, 2020 – Kaukonen’s livestreams provided New Jersians with “wonderful respite and entertainment during difficult times.”
The honor arrived following Kaukonen’s two-night outdoor run at New Jersey’s Blu Grotto Ristorante at the Monmouth Park racetrack.

We so relate to Vanessa and Jorma bickering, meeting his team and listening to the music we’ve loved since our high school days. So very pleased they are being recognized❤️

Van Morrison needs to follow the lead of people such as yourself. And, because I know there will be ignorant fools ripping me (as usual), to “God” I’ve likely been around the jam scene longer than you’ve been alive, at least I hope your aren’t both older and ignorant (youth gets a pass). To answer your question from your last post to me, 12/4/1991 was my first Phish show…1979 was my first show (Van Halen’s first world tour, Rochester, NY). I skipped the Dead’s Holleder Stadium show in my hometown that year because I hadn’t yet caught onto “jambands”… that would start on 7/4/1986 at Rich Stadium in Buffalo, NY. Make you feel any better? Now that you have those FACTS… try educating yourself on COVID. When you simply talk about news being fake, that’s when you demonstrate your incredible ignorance. While it should ALWAYS be questioned, any news outlet/journalist worth their weight in salt will provide enough information for you to verify facts. Or, you could go the route of Trump and seed distrust in anything that you don’t agree with while, at the same time, telling anyone who will listen to you how things will “miraculously” resolve themselves. GOD… don’t you can be better than an ignorant fool… just make a bit of effort. And, should you be near the Rochester, NY area, I’d love to get together for a beer and a logical discussion, should you be interested…
