Dawes’ new record, Good Luck With Whatever, is set to drop on Oct. 2. Ahead of the record, the band has shared another new single, “Didn’t Fix Me,” along with an animated video.

“‘We wanted to make a video that felt like all our old favorite children’s books,” said guitarist/vocalist Taylor Goldsmith in a social post announcing the video (see below). “We thought the song’s simplicity and subject matter could withstand a more direct telling of the lyrics within a video and we love the way it came out.”

“In the past, I’ve definitely been more precious about the way I wanted the songs to sound, but that’s never as fun,” Goldsmith said of the album via press release. “The music we make is everyone’s mode of expression, and the other guys all have chops that I don’t have and never will. The fact that we’re able to lean on each other and celebrate each other as individuals just makes us so much more excited about getting to play together in this band.”
