On Sept. 5 and 6, Umphrey’s McGee returned to the stage for the first time in six months, offering an “At The Drive-Inn” run outside of their native Chicago.

The sextet’s first night at SeatGeek Stadium – Sept. 5 – opened with a pairing of “1348 > Gulf Stream,” which came back around at the end of the first half with a rocking “Synchronicity II > 1348.”

UM also nodded to the vehicles in attendance with a tease of Gary Newman’s “Cars” midway through the set (before “Hurt Bird Bath”), and fans acknowledged the courtesy by honking their horns.

The second night of the run was highlighted by a massive “Puppet String”> “The Floor” to kick off the show. From there, UM stayed nimble, showcasing a massive “Wappy Sprayberry”> “Plunger”> “Push The Pig”> “Ja Junk” segment in the second set, and blowing minds by returning to “Puppet String” by the end of the show.

They encored night two of “At The Drive-Inn” with “Bridgeless,” before telling fans, “We love you guys so much. Please be safe on your way home. We say it every time — we mean it every time.”
