On Aug. 5, Real Estate will offer a special livestream set and Q&A for the A.V. Club.
The performance will also debut a slightly altered lineup.
Explained the group via social media, “This will be our first ‘show’ featuring our new live drummer. Her name is Sammi Niss and she is the world’s greatest drummer, living or dead.”
Previous percussionists for Real Estate include founding member Etienne Pierre Duguay, followed by Jackson Pollis who served in the band since 2011.
“Jackson continues to be our musical brother and dear friend,” the group added. “He’s taking some time to focus on other things that don’t include playin’ in the band at this time.”
