The National Independent Talent Organization (NITO) has called on its members and the general public to support the passage of the RESTART Act, which will provide aid to struggling music industry professionals and venues.
“Help now to save the live music community. Ask your legislators to support the RESTART Act,” wrote the organization on their website.
If passed, the RESTART Act would provide financial support in various forms to small businesses such as venues. The motion also calls for items such as the Ticket Refund Tax Credit, which would help venues and promoters stay afloat as they refund countless tickets for canceled shows.
To call for support of the RESTART Act and for more information, head to nitolive.org/resources/take-action.

July 27, 2020 at 6:12 amHow about the thousands of touring professionals who’s livelihood is all but wiped out by COVID-19? Help for them is critical if we ever want to see a live concert again.

July 23, 2020 at 11:58 amCut the monopolies of LN, and Tix-Bastard, use the pandemic to make things a little better for all of us, the concert goers, and the talent. Lower OUR prices, while giving more $ to the talent, by slicing the monopolists’ cut by a fair chunk. it ‘CAN’ be done.
