Pearl Jam have shared an archival clip of “Past Tense” performed live at Sports Hall in Budapest, Hungary on Nov. 17, 1996.
This marked the band’s first and last concert in the country due to the fact that their originally scheduled July 16 performance at Budapest Arena was cancelled due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
“Present Tense,” an ode to living in the moment, was played in the middle of the 1996 show’s encore. Pearl Jam released the song just three months prior to the recording on their fourth studio album, No Code.
