On June 10, Lukas Nelson was among the star-studded roster at the ‘A Night for Austin’ benefit, raising money for organizations throughout the city including The Central Texas Food Bank, the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians, The Six Square Creatives Restoration Project, MusiCares, PeopleFund, the Southern Smoke Foundation and Funding for the Red River Cultural District.
“Hey everybody thanks for supporting Texas music. This is a song I got called ‘Just Outside of Austin’ and I’d love to share it with you,” Nelson says at the top of the performance, also nodding to a chirping bird in the background.
Previously, Nelson performed the same song – alongside his father Willie and brother Micah -while enjoying some family time in quarantine.
