Jefferson Airplane has announced that they will receive a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2021. “We’ve got some big news,” the band wrote in a Facebook post announcing the achievement.
“In 1965 when Jefferson Airplane came to Los Angeles to record our first project for RCA, we stayed off the Boulevard in what was then affordable lodging,” read a statement from Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady. “We walked that street as complete nonentities and loved the adventure. To have a star there today is indeed more than capturing a dream. It is a benchmark for us in the City of Angels.”
