Following the death of Sublime’s Bradley Nowell, surviving band members Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh formed Long Beach Dub Allstars in 1997, and now – almost 20 years after their last LP, the band has shared Long Beach Dub Allstars, out now.
According to a press release, the new eponymous album features 10 tracks and “harnesses their feel-good vibrations and SoCal musical roots as they put everything into one musical melting pot of Reggae, Ska, Dub, Hip Hop, and Punk.”
Vocalist Opie Ortiz explains, “This album will show fans exactly where we are right now as a band and I think it feels like a classic Long Beach Dub record from the moment it starts playing.”
Long Beach Dub Allstars was recorded at Southern California’s Maple Studio with producer Cameron Webb whose prior credits include Weezer, Ben Folds and Kelly Clarkson.
