On June 4 and 5, Ropeadope Records and 21Soul will present The Ropadope Music and Arts Festival, featuring discussions with Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah, Bright Dog Red and more, as well as live or prerecorded performances from Johanna Burnheart, Darren Hoffman, Berlin, Dekel Bor Trio and more.

According to a press release: “As the world emerges from lockdown, Ropeadope gathers the family for a unique music ‘festival’ on June 4 and 5th. The two day event will feature live appearances, pre-recorded solo sets, Q&A between artists, and an online hangout with dozens of Ropeadope artists on hand for Q&A with fans and general positive presentations for the world.”

The press release continued: “Coinciding with Bandcamp’s Fee Free Friday, special offerings will be unveiled throughout the event – unreleased music and video, limited test pressings from vinyl releases, limited vinyl copies of Terrace Martin’s Velvet Portraits, live music from the label’s archives, signed copies of CDs, and more. The event will also serve as a fundraiser for Renew Music, Ropeadope’s new initiative to support artists and work on creative methods to build a sustainable future.”
