Dave Matthews returned to his Charlottesville, Va. roots earlier this week, performing the song “Singing From The Windows” for the University of Virginia’s virtual celebration of the Class of 2020.
Matthews debuted the song in late March, as a tribute to the COVID-19 phenomenon of self-isolated people singing to one another from their windows.
In the new clip, Matthews’ performance is spliced with photos of UVA students and Charlottesville residents doing their part and staying home to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
