The Brazilian percussionist and member of Trey Anastasio’s band, Cyro Baptista, is headlining a show at Dizzy’s Club in New York on Feb. 26 (tonight) and 27.

He will be performing a new program called Glosso Lalia (a reference to “glossolalia,” or “speaking a language one does not know—also known as “speaking in tongues”). The lineup includes John Lee on guitar, Felipe Hostins on accordion, Eduardo Belo on bass, and Gil Oliveira on drums.

Baptista has performed, toured, and recorded with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis, Yo-Yo Ma, Paul Simon, Phish, John Zorn, Milton Nascimento, Kathleen Battle, James Taylor, and more.
