Phish continued their Mexican vacation on Saturday night, offering two full sets of bustouts and originals, including an opening take on Little Feat’s “Willin’,” their first since their Halloween 2010 recreation of Waiting for Columbus.
Other set one highlights included a revival of “You Sexy Thing” (LTP 8/5/18, show gap: 70), which the band segued through “46 Days.”
Elements of “You Sexy Thing” emerged again later, mashed up with the lyrics of “Makisupa Policeman.” (Beforehand the band also offered “Tweezer” and brought “Manteca” back in the rotation for the first time since 7/19/16).
Set one ended with a “woo”-filled “Twist.”
After setbreak, Phish opened their second frame with a vibey “Energy” jam. A “Soul Planet”> “Waves”> “Carini”> “Chalk Dust Torture” followed, as did a long jam into “Have Mercy”> “Life Beyond The Dream.”
Phish ended their third night in paradise with a rocking “Harry Hood,” and encored with a pairing of “Sweet Jane” and the always-rowdy “Tweezer Reprise.”
Watch the band perform “Willin'” and check out the full setlist – as it appears in out Box Scores section – below:

February 24, 2020 at 9:34 pmDUH, HUH and DICK. VERY FITTING!
Why are you reading about Phish if you’re just haters. Just got back from seeing Phish with 6000 other fans who appreciate the music and were very happy to see them again in Riviera Maya. It was an amazing 4 nights of music, sun and surf. Phish is not trying to compete with the Stones, Who, Little Feat or Lou Reed, but they appreciate those artists as much as their fans appreciate them. All of the bands you mentioned could never do a 3 or 4 day festival because they go on tour and play the exact 15-20 songs every single night for a year long tour. Go back to supporting Trump you haters.
Phishin is where it’s at

February 27, 2020 at 11:51 amTo answer your question, Phishin. I was reading and watching because I wanted to see them cover Little Feat’s Willin’. Instead I saw a Fishman fashion show, which prompted my initial question about the Moo-moo. Trump? really dude? seems you’ve Really gone fishin’

February 23, 2020 at 7:17 pmPhish can’t do justice to Little Feat. Phish can’t do justice to The Stones. Phish can’t do justic to the Who. Phish can’t do justice to the Velvet Underground. Phish doesn’t have the balls, the voices or the credibility to do justice to these far superior bands. Now if you want a wankfest with off-key singing, inane lyrics and an utter lack of taste then you might think Phish is a good band

February 23, 2020 at 7:46 pmOh Snap! Really layin’ to ’em, Dick. haha. I have to admit the Phish ’96 halloween talking heads, remain in light set I saw live with Raul Rico (sp) and Karl Perazzo was pretty frickin’ sick. I don’t remember other 2 sets, however 🙂

February 23, 2020 at 5:40 pmI think its a long running, over played and now tired gag from when Homer Simpson ran his weight to 300 pounds to become disabled qualified to work at home. He needed to find big & fat new clothing an moo-moos were the answer. A grate episode. A stupid band and fanbase…

February 23, 2020 at 6:44 pmoh I definitely remember that episode, it was great. I hesitate to insult the fans too much because I am close to many of them, friends and family. but I agree that music about llamas and lizards and dungeons and dragons is pretty absurd. Life is poetic and profound, fantasy land isn’t. Little Feat was great…this wasn’t

February 23, 2020 at 3:15 pmcan someone please explain the appeal of fat- boy Fishman and his moomoo? Yes, I am seriously curious. What’s the point?
