January 31, 2020 at 7:00 pmD of KC… First, to be clear, while I lean toward being a liberal, I’m much more independent… especially in today’s liberal world… I’m not on board with Warren forgiving all student debt, and though I do like Bernie, I would probably not vote for him… not sure who will get my vote yet. To answer your question though… I’ve heard right-wing/hard right leaning people say exactly what you’ve said yet I’ve seen very little evidence of it actually occurring… in my opinion the point of your comment, like much of what the right shouts about, rarely comes from fact, instead it is spun up from the likes of Limbaugh, Hannity, Ingraham, Coulter and the list goes on. To me, it seems the right wing followers have a very difficult time coming up with their own opinions, instead their preference is to regurgitate what those types of pundits pass as fact. However, close to your point, I will agree that the left comes across as thinking they are smarter than the right and, as a result, they can be condescending. I think it’s a shame that the radicals on both sides, whose numbers pale in comparison to the right/left middle, are the mouths that are heard. In this day and age of social media and the cravings for attention, along with the desire to watch those who act obnoxious, extreme is the focus… people gravitating WAY to much to one side, or the other… when, IMO, we need to be coming together… Bernie is honest, but Bernie is heading toward an extreme left… and, you do have a point, I can imagine you get some grief leaning right in an area typically reserved for the left. Stand your ground, be polite, be thought-provoking, not simply provoking. Anyone worth the time, left or right, may challenge your beliefs but will respect you even in disagreement!

January 31, 2020 at 1:47 pmME- Speaking of Respect. Why is it that Liberals are so hateful and unwilling to be kind? After 35+ years of being around “hippies” I know well about how I’ve been treated as a mod…. Quite sad. If Bern could only be an honest man he might have something to run on…

January 30, 2020 at 3:19 pm“eventually they run out of other people’s money”
…you mean, like MY money that goes to bailing out banks, giving billionaires tax cuts, and paying for ridiculous wars that kill hundreds of thousands and enrich like 100 people? Like that kind of “other people’s money”?
What are you even doing here? We don’t like your kind.

January 30, 2020 at 3:02 pmThe irony is that in communist countries musicians can’t freely express themselves in their lyrics, because they would be prosecuted, or worse. Musicians here then promote those very same values. Bernie’s system will never work, because eventually they run out of other peoples money. Free everything is not sustainable. The average working person pays an aggregate of over 50% of what they make in the constant onslaught of taxes – it’s government theft of personal property. It’s delusional.

January 30, 2020 at 3:56 pmBernie isn’t a communist. Do you really not know the difference between communism and socialism? Until you figure that out, you should probably sit back down.

January 29, 2020 at 11:26 pmStill drinking that mcarthyism kool-aid, give me a break? Do you have any idea what Democratic Socialism is? Ever googled “income inequality”? Your 90 years started with a Democratic Socialist type president called FDR, fyi.

January 29, 2020 at 6:17 pmSo, “Give Me A Break”… to you, money is the most important thing there is, more important than peace, more important than truth, more important than a free press, more important than respect for each other, more important than having a strong relationship with allies? Believe me, I’m not singing Bernie’s song either though I think even with his over-the-top liberal ideas, he is night and day better than where we stand today… that is if you care about the future and more than just money. Regardless, at least we have still have choice…
