For their second-ever performance at New York’s historic Beacon Theatre on Jan. 24, Greensky Bluegrass nodded to the venue’s long history with the Allman Brothers with a mid-set version of Eat A Peach standout “Ain’t Wasting Time No More.”

The tune was reminiscent of GSBG’s 2019 Beacon debut, where they offered an encore of ABB’s “Midnight Rider.”

The group also nodded to their Big Apple surroundings by opening the show with a take on Jim Hendrix’s “Crosstown Traffic.” Other highlights from Greensky Bluegrass’ Friday-night outing included a set one pairing of classic originals like “The Four” (complete with a “Big Apple” lyric change) and “Burn Them,” as well as the set two closers of “Do It Alone” and “Living Over.”
