Songwriter Jim Lauderdale has announced a new album which harkens back to his North Carolina roots.

The LP – When Carolina Comes Home Again, out March 6 – will also include “As A Sign,” a new track co-written by the late Robert Hunter.

Additionally, Lauderdale will use his upcoming tour dates to remember his longtime collaborator.

“One thing I’m looking forward to doing in these shows is paying tribute to my late friend, hero, and co-writer Robert Hunter,” Lauderdale said via press release. “We’re going to do a mini-set of some of my favorite songs he and I wrote together, our way of bringing his spirit to the stage each night.”
