In honor of the holiday season, Jerry Garcia Music Arts has released a mastered live recording of “Everybody Needs Somebody To Love” (originally by Solomon Burke).
In addition, the company has released a pen-and-ink drawing by Garcia, with water color by Keelin Garcia, Jerry’s daughter and founder of Jerry Garcia Music Arts.
The performance of “Everybody Needs Somebody To Love” took place on Aug. 10, 1991, and the recording was mastered by Joe Gastwirt. The track is available for 10,000 free streams on multiple platforms.
A limited run of 108 prints of the drawing is available now at the Terrapin Gallery, and can be purchased here. Proceeds will benefit the Psylodelic Gallery, a gallery founded by Vanessa and Jorma Kaukonen that celebrates music, art, culture and literature of the 1960s.
