On Jan. 4, Stephan Malkmus, Bob Nastanovich and many others will perform a concert in honor of the late David Berman, who tragically took his own life in August.

The show – dubbed “Bike Chain Rain: A Birthday Tribute to David Cloud Berman” – will take place at Bunk Bar in Portland, Ore., and it is already sold out. In addition to music from Malkmus and Nastanovich (who both worked with Berman in the Silver Jews) as well as others, the event will also feature readings of Berman’s work and stories told by the guests.
