The star-studded tour of The Last Waltz made a stop at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Saturday, Nov. 23, showcasing a rare appearance by Robbie Robertson of The Band, as well as fellow scheduled guests Michael McDonald, Cyril Neville, Darius Rucker, Margo Price, Emmylou Harris and more.
The house band for this Saturday night celebration of The Band included Lukas Nelson, Warren Haynes, Don Was and John Medeski, among others, and the show kicked off with “Up On Cripple Creek.”
Midway through the set, Crescent City natives Cyril Neville and Dave Malone took the lead on “Down South in New Orleans” as well as “Who Do You Love.
Malone also a stuck around to play on “This Wheel’s on Fire.”
Later, Nathaniel Rateliff closed the first half with a soul-stirring version of “The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down.”
Set two highlights included a version of “Helpless” with Michael McDonald and Emmylou Harris as well as Robertson taking centerstage for “The Weight.”
The entire roster of performers emerged to harmonize on “Helpless” before a double encore of Dr. John’s “Such A Night” (led by the NOLA delegation of Cyril and Malone) and “Don’t Do It” with Robertson at the helm.

November 26, 2019 at 10:39 amI was there and it was wonderful. Much, MUCH better than the version that rolled through the Ryman in Jan 2017…

November 25, 2019 at 9:29 pmA shocking comment. The lineup was incredible. Too bad this is only an audienc video clip.
How much were the tix?
Many have said the same about D & Co. I call it “Bob Weir Presents…” It’s def not “Dead” but I still go to see them but much of it is half tempo.

December 24, 2019 at 9:08 pmIf I go just by the Caravan clip alone – even with the lousy quality – something tells me your opinion isn’t one to give any merit.
And the word sucks rarely applies to anything Warren Haynes is involved in.
