On Saturday, Feb. 8, The Capitol Theatre will host a special tribute to Old & In The Way, featuring Railroad Earth as well as original member Peter Rowan.
Previously, RRE announced a similar show at Denver’s Mission Ballroom, but this marks the only East Coast date with Rowan.
Though short-lived, Old & In The Way are often cited as one of bluegrass’ most influential acts, with a lineup featuring Rowan, Jerry Garcia, David Grisman, Vassar Clements and John Kahn.
The Larry Keel Experience will also be on hand to lend support for the Feb. 8 show, which will recreate the band’s self-titled 1975 LP including tunes like “Pig In A Pen,” “Midnight Moonlight,” and “Panama Red.”
