To stoke excitement for the upcoming, super deluxe edition of 1999, the Prince estate has shared an unreleased track by the Purple One himself, titled “Don’t Let Him Fool Ya.”
According to an official announcement, the track was recorded at Prince’s Minnesota home in the summer of 1982. Each instrument (bass, live drums, two guitars, keyboards, plus multiple layers of vocals) was recorded by the musician himself, and it stems from an “intensely prolific” era of his career.
The super deluxe edition of 1999 will be released on Nov. 29 and it will include “23 never-before-released studio tracks from Prince’s legendary vault.”
