On Nov. 1, another installment of Bob Dylan’s Bootleg Series will be available via Columbia/Legacy Records.

To stoke excitement for the bootleg, an unreleased Bob Dylan/Johnny Cash duet has been released. The tune, “Wanted Man” stems from a 1969 recording session and, apparently, Dylan wrote “Wanted Man” with Cash in mind on vocals. And while, Cash would later open his 1969 San Quentin performance with this composition, this is the only known recording with Dylan singing as well.

In the rough “take one” recording you can even hear Cash ask wife June Carter for her opinion on the song.

Travelin’ Thru, 1967 – 1969: The Bootleg Series Vol. 15 will also include “Girl From the North Country,” “Mystery Train” (featuring Carl Perkins), and more.
