Sept. 10 marks World Suicide Prevention Day, and the Sounds of Saving organization has announced a new #FightBackWithMusic campaign designed to brighten New Yorkers’ days and raise awareness for such a crucial issue.
The organization is placing “thousands of vinyl records throughout NYC,” (specifically in Union Square and City Hall Park) and each is adorned with a Sounds of Saving sticker, which provides information about their mission.
According to the organization, “Those who find a record are encouraged to share on social media using the hashtag, #fightbackwithmusic and #SongsThatFoundMeAtTheRightTime to spread the word.”
