Paul Simon has announced he will play two special benefit shows on the Hawaiian island of Maui this August in support of environmental conservation efforts. The performances will mark Simon’s first Maui shows and his first return to the island state since Simon & Garfunkel played there in 1968.

The Hawaii gigs will take place Aug. 13 and 14 at Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s A&B Amphitheater and Yokouchi Pavilion and will raise money for local Hawaiian biodiversity conservation organizations, The Auwahi Forest Restoration Project and Kua‘āina Ulu ‘Auamo.

Tickets to the newly announced shows go on sale this Saturday, June 22, at 10 a.m. HST here.

Paul Simon is also headlining San Francisco’s Outside Lands Festival Aug. 11 and will donate proceeds to Bay Area organizations San Francisco Parks Alliance and Friends of the Urban Forest.
