In an incredible meeting-of-the-minds, Sheryl Crow recently enlisted Bonnie Raitt and Mavis Staples for a version of her tune “Live Wire.”

“I’ll just tell you the god’s honest truth. All I wanted was to get Mavis and Bonnie, my two favorite women in all of rock and roll,” Crow says at the beginning of the clip.

“Well your dream has come true,” Staples quips back in true fashion.

All three musicians share vocal duties during the rehearsal clip, with Raitt adding some nice slide guitar.

This collaboration comes a month after Crow’s recent “duet” with Johnny Cash on “Redemption Day,” which she released in 1996 and Cash covered in 2003.

“Redemption Day” and “Live Wire” are set to appear on Crow’s forthcoming Threads album, her first on the country/Americana heavyweight Big Machine label.
