Anders Osborne will release his 16th studio album, entitled Buddah and the Blues.

Buddha and the Blues means the duality of our existence,” Osborne explained via press release. “The lyrics are supposed to be true, conversational, and uplifting with clean, classic, and thumpin’ sounds. That’s what I set out to accomplish.”

The LP features a laundry list of talented musicians, like guitarist Waddy Wachtel (Stevie Nicks, Keith Richards, Linda Rondstadt, Warren Zevon), bassist Bob Glaub (Jackson Browne, John Lennon, Don Henley) on bass, keyboardist Benmont Tench (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash), vocalist Windy Wagner (Ringo Starr, Rod Stewart) and drummer Chad Cromwell (Neil Young, Mark Knopfler, Joe Walsh), who also produced the LP.

On April 25, Osborne has also scheduled a Buddah and the Blues album release show at NOLA’s historic Tipitinia’s, with Amy Helm opening.
