Looking ahead to next year, Phil Lesh has announced that as part of his 80th birthday celebration, he will offer a special concert offering a nod to days past of a special concert offering a nod to days past.

Lesh has enlisted some familiar names to recreate the concert recreating the concert. Joining Lesh will be the exact lineup from his previous performance of the iconic gig: Barry Sless, Scott Law, David Nelson, Jason Crosby and John Molo. The new show will take at the Capitol Theatre on April 1, 2020. The original show took place at the Capitol Theatre on November 5, 2015. The original, original show took place at the Capitol Theatre on February 19, 1971.

Lesh explains, “It’s profound and conceptual. You can think of it as a simulation of a simulation inside another giant simulation…Game day bucket go boom!”
