Jazz guitarist Julian Lage has announced his first-ever tour with his current Trio lineup, featuring bassist Jorge Roeder and drummer Dave King (of The Bad Plus), and has shared a new video of the three musicians playing the title track from Lage’s latest album, Love Hurts.
The new tour kicks off Sept. 12 in Newark, OH, and will continue over to the Northeast and up to Canada throughout the month before shifting to the West Coast in October, wrapping up in Seattle on Oct. 12. The Trio will also play Wilco’s Solid Sound Festival in late June, along with an upcoming album-release show at New York’s le Poisson Rouge on March 5.
See the dates below, along with the video for “Love Hurts” featuring Roeder and King. Lage will also be offering a series of Master Class sessions throughout the tour, with music lessons and Q&A segments. More information can be found at Lage’s website.
