Stephen Malkmus will release his newest studio album, Groove Denied, on March 15, and today the former Pavement frontman shares a new video from the electronic-leaning effort for the track “Rushing the Acid Frat.”

As its title suggests, the single draws inspiration from a hippie fraternity Malkmus encountered while attending the University of Virginia. The trippy animated video, created by Robert Strange of Superorganism and James Popper, follows Malkmus as he makes his way through LA, space and more while surrounded by a number of creatures and visual effects
