The LOCKN’ Festival has announced its 2019 lineup, featuring several collaborations between Tedeschi Trucks Band, Trey Anastasio Band and Bob Weir & Wolf Bros.
The festival is scheduled from Aug. 22-25 at Infinity Downs in Arrington, VA, and the specific daily headliners are Trey Anastasio Band featuring Derek Trucks (Aug. 23), Tedeschi Trucks Band featuring Trey Anastasio (Aug. 24) and Bob Weir & Wolf Bros featuring Susan Tedeschi (Aug. 25).
The festival is also stepping up its late-night options for 2019 with offerings in its intimate Garcia’s Forest setting, including a rare performance by Soulive as well as sets by Circles Around The Sun and Galactic.
Additional LOCKN’ performers include Oteil & Friends feat. Bob Weir, Devon Allman, Duane Betts and more, Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Gary Clark Jr., Khruangbin, The Revivalists, moe., The Allman Betts Band, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Melvin Seals & JGB, Keller Williams’ Grateful Gospel and many more.
As LOCKN’ co-founder Peter Shapiro notes, while this lineup features most of the talent for 2019, there are still a few slots to fill.
“By announcing the full lineup now we wanted to give fans a good idea of what to expect, but there’s definitely a surprise or two still coming,” Shapiro says. “I am not quite sure what it is yet, but I am looking forward to finding out.”

February 16, 2019 at 3:55 pmThat CS-er from the pittsburgh zoo enclosure. Listening to The Spinners’ Rubberband Man actually, on some i-tunes radio, though I did just wonderfully receive my Dave’s Picks 1st installment from 2019 of the Swind Aud. from San Berdoo, 2/26/77, and it’s bliss. Had the sow of course from my tape tradin’ days, but i like these HDCD’s, obviously. Cheers, Scum-ball ! (*w/ bells on: so far, Summer sked: Dead & Co. for two scorchers @ Hallowed Wrigley Field in June, Stones at masive field near Toronto, Vampire Weekend, Toronto, and Bobby w/ Wolf Brothers in Buffalo, and DSO @ Buffalo upcoming, sweetly.) Enjoy your dingy basement complaining that you can’t go to (ummm,…AFFORD) any shows, so therefore you piss on all jam-band performers, and wish for thee olde days, that for YOU, never were! Cheers, giddy up !

February 15, 2019 at 3:32 pmYou’re on this site, so I have to guess you like jamband music. If that much is true, then exactly what would you want to see in this fest that would be good in your eyes? Personally, though I’m pretty much done with the festival scene, this looks like a great time. Not many other festivals stay in their own wheelhouse any longer… which to some may be great but pissing on this seems like really, you just like to whine. Giving Trey and Derek two nights to lock in (didn’t even mean to do that), seems worth the price of admission… especially if they should hit on all cylinders… granted, as much as I love Trey, he doesn’t always seem to mesh well with other guitarists IMO but if those two do click, it’s going to be fire!

February 15, 2019 at 12:10 pmthat’s right LAME-O. In lieu of the Ghost of Jerry Garcia NOT revealing itself or appearing, whether by a “ZAPPA-esque Hologram”, or better: his outright second coming,…… then I guess ‘any’ jam-band HUMANS, with any of their band ensembles just won’t suffice, huh? LMFAO (been said many, MANY times: Why do people like you come here to this site?)
