In the wake of releasing their seventh studio album, All For Money, Greensky Bluegrass played a retrospective show on Jan. 24 in Knoxville, Tenn., nodding to a fiery performance exactly a decade prior in Forest Grove, Ore.

The jamgrass outlet started their Knoxville show with a cover of The Louvin Brothers’ “Great Atomic Power,” which was the same tune they opened their 2009 gig with.

Later, GSGB welcomed jam-scene regular Cris Jacobs to play guitar on his own “Be My Stars” as well as the gospel/bluegrass standard “I’m Working on a Building.” After the sit in, the band ended the first set with a trio of originals, namely All For Money‘s “Courage for the Road,” Tuesday Letter‘s “No More Fun” and All For Money‘s “What You Need.”

After opening with another bluegrass classic – “Hit Parade of Love” – Greensky’s second set contained even more nods to their 2009 offering, including teases of “Boogie” by John Hartford in “Miss September” and an exact remake of their 10-years-prior encore which sandwiched their own “Runnin’ the Briars” in Prince’s “Little Red Corvette.”
