Umphrey’s McGee returned to the stage for their second appearance at this weekend’s Holidaze destination event in Puerto Morelos, Mexico, on Friday evening, and the band offered a cover-heavy second set (one of their “All Night Wrong” performances that includes a collection of fan-voted covers) that featured both a sit in from Aron Magner, keyboardist for fellow Holidaze hosts The Disco Biscuits, as well as a moment when the children of UM’s members joined the band on stage during a song.

The first cover chosen for the special set was Nirvana’s “In Bloom,” which was quickly followed by a rendition of the Hall & Oates classic “I Can’t Go For That (No Can Do),” which featured Magner on keys and marked only the third time UM has played the song (per allthings.umphreys.com). Next up was Beck’s playful “Debra,” Talking Heads’ “Making Flippy Floppy,” Men At Work’s “Land Down Under” and Van Halen’s “Hot For Teacher.”

A cover of Warren G and Nate Dogg’s “Regulate” then brought up the Umphrey’s McGee children (appropriately decked out with noise-cancelling headphones), who helped out on percussion during the tune. Otis Redding’s “(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay” also made its second appearance in an UM setlist, and the “All Night Wrong” set closed out with another Magner sit in on a run of Prince’s “I Wanna Be Your Lover.”

See the full setlist below, along with video of the beginning of set two as streamed by Holidaze on Facebook. Holidaze closes out today and this evening with more sets from Umphrey’s McGee and The Disco Biscuits, plus a late-night closing performance from Pigeons Playing Ping Pong.
