Photographer Jay Blakesberg is bringing his 70-minute slideshow and Grateful Dead storytelling to three cities this November, with special appearances by Oteil Burbridge, Roosevelt Collier as well as Dead cover acts Unlimited Devotion and Uncle John’s Band.

According to a press release, “This engaging, fast moving presentation grants the audience an ‘all access’ pass to [Blakesberg’s] many years photographing the band, first as a fan, and than as a journalist, and ultimately as an insider working for the band.”

Blakesberg’s mini-tour will kick off on Tuesday, Nov. 27 at the Miami Beach JCC with a performance by Collier and South Florida’s Unlimited Devotion Band.

Next, the photographer will head to Davie, Fla. to speak at the David Posnack JCC where Florida local Oteil Burbridge will join him onstage for a freeform conversation.

Finally, Blakesberg will arrive at Skipper’s Smokehouse in Tampa, Fla. with musical accompaniment by Uncle John’s Band.

The Nov. 27 and 28 gatherings are ticketed events, whereas the Nov. 29 gig is free.
