The seventh annual Urban Campfire will be held on Nov. 18 at New York’s City Winery.

With artists like Ani DiFranco, Jimmy Vivino, Biodun Kuti, Marc Ribot, Fernandito Ferrer and Kat Edmonson on the roster, the event offers a “unique and immersive musical experience where artists break down the wall between the stage and the house and invite the audience to play and sing with them.”

The event will stretch from Noon – 3:30 p.m. and give aspiring musicians ages 10 and up the chance to pick the brains of professionals. Leading the charge will be Mark Stewart and the Mash House Band.

Participants are invited to bring their own guitars, or just show up solo and sing along. This year’s theme for the Urban Campfire is “Songs for Change,” which will reflect on music’s ability to raise awareness and create unity. A round of fast-paced “musical speed dating” and brunch will also be available.
