Before one of Widespread Panic’s recent gigs at Ascend Amphitheater in Nashville, Jimmy Herring hung out with Premier Guitar to give a full rundown of his onstage rig.

In the video, Herring examines a couple of his PRS guitars, including one he’s been playing for almost two decades. “It feels like home,” he says of the sunburst number. He also talks of his “’50s style” black stratocaster, and jokes “I can’t do what Jeff Beck does.”

For gearheads (and Spreadheads), it’s a great chance to get into the nitty-gritty of Herring’s gear.
