This March, Grateful Dead bandmates Bob Weir and Phil Lesh will team up as a duo for the first time ever. The two legendary musicians will play a series of two-night runs, kicking off March 2–3 at New York’s famed Radio City Music Hall. The tour was first announced by Weir this afternoon on SiriusXM’s Tales From the Golden Road.

Weir and Lesh will also be playing two-night stands at Boston’s Wang Theatre on March 7 and 8 and at the Chicago Theatre on March 10 and 11. Weir said he expects some guests to join them as well, and each night will feature both an acoustic and electric set. See the full tour schedule below. A verified fan pre-sale is currently underway, and all ticketing and tour information can be found here.

The two founding Grateful Dead members, who also collaborated in the band Furthur from 2009 to 2014, have teamed up a few times since they last took the stage with the Dead at 2015’s Fare Thee Well shows in California and Chicago, including at this year’s Lockn’ Festival, but this 2018 run will mark the first time in their storied history that Weir and Lesh have appeared as a duo.
