Live Nation has added Bonnaroo to its collection of festivals as the company announced today it has purchased a controlling interest in the popular Manchester, TN festival. Bonnaroo joins the likes of Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, Rock Werchter and over 60 others under the control of Live Nation.

According to a press release, Live Nation’s involvement will also include an ownership stake in the Bonnaroo property, known as “The Farm.” There will also be “significant investment” in the site and enhancements to the festival experience.

“We are strengthening our commitment to create the best possible experience at Bonnaroo,” said Supefly co-founder Rick Farman. “Through this partnership with Live Nation, we’re even more empowered to enhance the festival while preserving the integrity of the event that we’ve thoughtfully built over the past 14 years.”

Ashley Capps, founder of AC Entertainment, also called partnering with Live Nation a “milestone” for Bonnaroo.

This year’s Bonnaroo kicks off June 11.
