Lenny Kravitz will headline the final day of this year’s New Orleans Jazz & Heritage festival. The rocker, who used to call New Orleans his part-time home, will return to Fair Grounds Race Course when he perform on the Acura Stage on Sunday, May 3.

Kravitz joins a stacked lineup that already includes Elton John, The Who, Jimmy Buffett, Chicago, Hozier, Widespread Panic, Ryan Adams, Steve Winwood, Trombone Shorty, Wilco, The Meters and many more. He will most likely play the second-to-last show at the Acura Stage on May 3, as Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue have held down the coveted closing slot in recent years.

As previously reported, other artists on the Jazz Fest lineup include Galactic with Macy Gray, Sturgill Simpson, Blind Boys of Alabama, Bela Fleck & Abigail Wasburn, Snarky Puppy, The Revivalists and many more. Dr. John will also play a special tribute to Louis Armstrong that has been dubbed the “Spirit of Satch.”

Jazz Fest will take place on April 23-26 and April 30-May 3. Tickets for the event are now on sale.
