Counting Crows have confirmed a short fall tour. The group will kick off their upcoming outing at Port Chester, NY’s recently reopened Capitol Theatre on October 23. The band’s upcoming run will also include a return to New York’s Roseland Ballroom, a venue they played this past spring.

The group is touring behind their new album of covers, Underwater Sunshine, which was released on Collective Sounds/Sony RED.

“This summer on ‘The Outlaw Roadshow,’ was the best time I’ve ever had on tour. When you watch great bands play killer sets every night it makes you want to go out and play even better sets yourself,” frontman Adam Duritz said in a statement. “It’s not competition, it’s just…rock & roll is a drug and watching great bands gets you high. The fans reap the benefits of that every night. Going out this Fall with Mean Creek and Tender Mercies is going to be a hell of a ride. Plus, we promised the people in the South and the West that we were coming back this year. Well…here we come.”
