Myspace will broadcast The Hangout Music Fest this weekend. Though the festival is now sold out, the social networking site will stream a number of performances live throughout the festival. Those performances include: Jack White, String Cheese Incident, Dispatch, Umphrey’s McGee, G. Love & Special Sauce, Paul Oakenfold, Gogol Bordello, Dr. Dog, Flogging Molly, Yelawolf, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros and Alabama Shakes, among others.

“When tickets sold out so quickly, we knew we had to do something to share the festival to a wider audience. Thanks to Myspace, music fans that can’t make it to our party in person can still join in the fun,” said Hangout Music Fest founder and owner, Shaul Zislin. “Enjoy the broadcast and we’ll see you here next year!”

“Myspace’s broadcast of sets lets people everywhere share in the diverse music offerings Hangout Fest attendees are catching here in Gulf Shores,” said A.J. Niland, producer of Hangout Music Fest. “Ocean breezes and sand between your toes not included.”

As the exclusive distribution partner, Myspace will broadcast select performances live and on-demand, beginning Friday, May 18 through Sunday, May 20 at www.myspace.com/hangoutmusicfest. Additional performance footage will be shared on select Hangout artists’ Myspace pages.
