On August 20 and 21 Mexicali Live will host the first annual Grateful Dead Musical Gear Exposition. The Teaneck, NJ venue will welcome a variety of manufacturers displaying musical gear created and inspired by the Grateful Dead. The Hard Truckers, Louis Electric Amplifiers, Moriarty Guitars, McIntosh Laboratories, Resurrection Guitars, Pigtronix, Amplified Parts and Courtenay Pollock Tie-Dye Designs are among the participants who will welcome fellow Deadheads, gearheads and other sound specialists. A variety of guest speakers will participate and attendees will be able to demo the equipment. Each day will be followed by a separate admission concert, with Boston’s Playingdead on Saturday and New York’s Half Step on Sunday.
