Wooden Shjips on a familiar looking San Francisco stoop

The San Francisco psychedelic rock band Wooden Shjips will release its next studio album West on August 16. The album is the band’s first on Thrill Jockey. West was recorded at Lucky Cat Studios, engineered by Phil Manley and mastered by Sonic Boom at Blanker Unisinn, Brooklyn. This is the first time the band has recorded in a proper studio. Additional mastering was completed by Heba Kadry at The Lodge in New York. Wooden Shjips will support the album with an extensive tour in August.
