The Disco Biscuits closed its run at New York’s Nokia Theater on New Year’s Eve. The Nokia is located in the heart of Times Square and capped off a six show run through the city, including a stealth instrumental show at the Highline Ballroom. For its countdown, the band created a medley that included the musical peaks from ten of its most popular songs. The medley began partway through the band’s second set with a portion of “Strobelights and Martinis,” a song the group started the first night of its Nokia run. The medley also included portions of “Orch Theme (9),” “Morph Dusseldorf” (8), Pink Floyd’s “Run Like Hell” (7), “Aceetobee” (6), “Vassillios” (5), “Mr.Don” (4), “Above the Waves” (3), “Munchkin Invasion” (2) and “Crickets” (1). As midnight hit, the Biscuits busted into the final portion of “Basis for a Day,” a song the group started on December 29. The band’s new single “On Time,” “7-11,” “I-Man” and “Helicopters” brought the set to a close.

The group’s third set was bookended by “Down to the Bottom,” a number the group had not played since December 27, 2007. Please click here for a look at the group’s performance on December 30.
