Music from the new Mississippi Sheiks tribute CD, Things About Comin’ My Way , will air on the global internet radio station www.allmemphismusic.com. The tribute CD features performances by John Hammond, The North Mississippi Allstars, Bruce Cockburn, Geoff Muldaur, Bill Frisell, Madeleine Peyroux, Danny Barnes and The Carolina Chocolate Drops, among others. The one-hour special on Things About Comin’ My Way will air this evening, November 13, at 10 PM CT and repeat tomorrow, November 14, at 10 AM CT. In addition to playing all 17 tracks from Things About Comin’ My Way, the special will include an in-depth interview with Steve Dawson, who conceived the project, produced most of the tracks on the album, played various instruments throughout and is the featured artist on one track. The Mississippi Sheiks came together in the 1920s and produced a number of early American blues songs.
